A little planning.
A lot more possibility.
You don’t need all the answers to get started.
Know who it’s for, what you want to achieve, and when you need it. We’ll help you work through the rest.
Six details.
A stronger brief.
The people
Clients, employees, event guests, or a mix? Think about their day, preferences, and what they would actually use.
The purpose
A welcome, a thank-you, a shared team identity, or a conversation starter? Give the product a job to do.
The quantity
Start with your expected recipient count. For apparel, plan the size breakdown. Ask about minimum quantities before choosing a product.
The budget
Share a total project budget or a target per item. Say whether that number needs to include decoration, setup, packaging, tax, and shipping.
The delivery
Give us the date the products must arrive—not just the event date—and the destination. Flag multiple delivery locations early.
The brand
Describe your logo, preferred colors, placement, and whether you want a subtle detail or a bold statement. Your SpecWorks contact can arrange artwork sharing.
Make room for
the whole project.
A product’s listed price may not include every part of a finished order. Ask for a proposal that makes the scope clear.
Product & decoration
- Product model, material, and quantity
- Logo size, colors, and locations
- Artwork or setup charges, if applicable
- Samples and packaging, if requested
Getting it there
- Shipping destination and delivery method
- Individual packing or multiple shipments
- Applicable taxes
- Rush charges, if offered and needed
Costs depend on the chosen products and requirements. Confirm the full quote before approving an order.
Work backward
from arrival.
“Needed at the event” is different from “ready to ship.”
Allow time for product selection, artwork review, production, and transit. Availability and decoration affect the schedule, so confirm timing for your specific order.
If the date is close, lead with that. We’ll check what’s feasible before you commit.
Right product.
Right treatment.
Embroidery
Stitched decoration can suit many garments and bags. Fine details, small lettering, fabric, and placement all affect the result.
Printed decoration
Printing options vary by product and material. Artwork colors, design area, and quantity help determine the appropriate method.
Engraving & other finishes
Some products offer a more subtle finish. Ask which options suit the item and review how your artwork will translate.
Have a vector logo file such as an AI, EPS, or vector PDF? Let your contact know. If you only have a photo or small image, tell us early so artwork requirements can be checked.
Before you press go.
Can I order a small quantity?+
Minimums vary by product and decoration. For purchases in small quantities, explore our No Minimums shop. For a tailored project, share your quantity in the brief.
Do I need finished artwork to request a proposal?+
No. Describe what you have and the look you want. Your SpecWorks contact will confirm what artwork is needed for the selected product and decoration.
Should I approve a sample or a proof?+
Ask about available sample and proof options for the chosen product. A digital proof helps review artwork and placement; it does not replace checking physical material, fit, or finish when those are important.
What happens after I submit?+
Your brief goes to our team for review. We follow up by email to discuss suitable options and any missing details. Submitting the form does not place an order.
